7-9 SEPTEMBER 2018

As you know, we are sending two Eucharistic Ministers, Maria Stansfield and Rita Murphy as our parish Reps to the above event
at the Liverpool Echo Arena.
Not everyone will be able to have seats for the Arena, but there will be many great events on Saturday 8th September which are free and open to all.
These will take place in all the churches and venues around the city centre. There will be exhibitions on archived history of church in this country during penal and more recent times, and another on Eucharistic miracles.
Also, a chance to hear Jimmy McGovern explain how he came to write the series ‘Broken’ and what he based the script on, a ‘Nightfever’.
There’ll be a drop-in for young adults, and lots of workshops talks and events as well as opportunities for prayer and adoration. All of these will provide opportunities for all ages to be involved in what will be the most significant gathering of the church in this country in recent times, to celebrate and reflect and pray together. The programme will be available soon.

I think it will be a great opportunity for a parish day out, and am very happy to take the minibus. If you’d like to go, please put your name on the list at the back of church.
